Historical Fashion
During my role as archivist for the Janie Lightfoot Research Collection, I was responsible for the care of over 2000 historical objects dating throughout the last millenia. Through photography, research, and a unique identifying system, I worked to convert the archive records into a digitally accessible resource for students and researchers.
Working as a freelance fashion specialist, I work with Dress Bridport in caring for Mary Moore’s unique collection of 20th century fashion, assisting the management of production loans, client appointments, and social outputs.
Starting as a volunteer at Central St Martins Archive, my career began with cataloguing Norah Waugh’s research collection for ‘Corsets and Crinolines’ (1954). I continue to volunteer today as a curator for Bridport Museum, displaying and caring for their fashion collection.
